What is Ebates?

You may have noticed that one way to enter my giveaway is to sign up for a company called Ebates.  So what is Ebates and why should you sign up? 

First of all, it is free to sign up.  It won't cost you anything at all....EVER!  In fact, when you DO sign up, they will give you a $5 credit to get you started. 

Then what?!  Well, nothing much...just shop.  If you are planning on spending money online, shop as you normally do, BUT before you pay for your order login to Ebates and search for the store you're shopping at.  Click on the link to that store (if it is available - most are).  Ebates will tell you what percent back they'll give you.  They may even have some suggested coupon codes that you can use on your order. 

That's it...once you've clicked on the link through Ebates, Ebates will remember that you did that and will pay you your percentage back. 

So why not sign up...it's like a credit card that gives you cashback, except it's free and there is no credit check! 

So here's how easy it is:
1. Shop
2. Login to Ebates
3. Find your store
4. Purchase as usual from your store.

Here's an example:
1. Bid on something at Ebay.com
2. When you win and are ready to pay, login to Ebates
3. Search Ebay and click on the link to that store (you get 1-3% cashback at Ebay)
4. Pay as you normally would through Ebay (paypal)
5. Your cashback should show up in your Ebates account withina week or two. 

Ebates pays you to shop at hundreds of stores that you normally shop at.  Why not earn some cashback while getting great deals? 

Ebates will send you a check 4 times/year if you have earned $5+ cashback.  You don't have to remember to request your check...it just comes.  All you have to do is shop.
